CHEMISTRY FOR THE NEW HORIZON
Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, Serbia : : June 27-29, 2013
It is our honour and pleasure to invite you, the members of all chemical communities from South-East Europe but also from around the world to Belgrade.
The ICOSECS Conference series has been bringing together scientists from the South-East European countries since 1998. The Conference provides a stimulating environment for the exchange of ideas and the development of partnerships and networks enhancing co-operation in all fields of pure and applied chemistry. ICOSECS 8 will focus on global challenges, as highlighted in the EuCheMS strategic document Chemistry – Developing Solutions in a Changing World. ICOSECS 8 will also be a focal point for young scientists through a cooperative action with the European Young Chemists Network.
The areas of special interest of the Conference are: Breakthrough Science, Energy, Resource, Efficiency and Food
The call for papers for the ICOSECS8 has opened graphicand the conference organizers invite you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. The deadline for abstract submissions is May 10, 2013.
This year’s technical program will enable effective exchange of new scientific information among attendees. Oral presentation sessions, poster sessions as well as multiple special topics sessions are planned over two and a half days, with parallel commercial exhibition. The program’s design will provide ample opportunities to engage in informal discussions and professional networking.
Participants’ experience also will be enhanced by social activities and optional tours to explore the manifold offerings available in the Serbia area. Get to know Balkan history and folklore.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Belgrade in June 2013.

ABSTRACT – will be published in the Book of Abstracts
Participants are invited to submit an abstract, with title, names of authors and affiliation included, of no more than one page. For plenary and invited lectures 2 pages is allowed. Authors should use the following file types: MS WORD 2010 and older (*.docx; *.doc), or Rich Text Format (*.rtf). The paper size of the abstract should be 21 x 29.7 cm (A4) with a margin of 2 cm on the left and 6 cm at the right and 2 cm on the top and 8.0 cm at the bottom. The abstract should be formatted using Calubri font throughout and single-space.

Title: 11 pts, bold, centered not all caps (for example, Mechanism of stereoselective…)
Empty space: 8 pts.
